Little Dresses for Africa Project

So I'm starting a service project that will involve several organizations. Please participate!

Little Dresses For Africa

“We are not just sending dresses, we are sending hope.”

-Little Dresses for Africa is a non-profit

organization organized to help send relief

to the children of Central Africa.  Simple

dresses are made out of pillow cases and

distributed through the orphanages in

Central Africa to plant in the hearts of

little girls that they are worthy.

You can help by donating gently used pillow cases, fabric scraps for binding or elastic. The goal is to collect enough to make 100 dresses, create the dresses, then send them on over.

Often Walmart has great fabric for $1.50 a yard. All that is needed is 1/2 yard for a full dress. That would be a .75 cent purchase. Although I'm not encouraging buying things for the project, it's a great option

Visit the website http://littledressesforafrica.org

Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I also have fliers you can post at work or community boards. Everyone is invited to participate.

I will have a pillow case counter on my sidebar.

I would love to be part of this. Do you want us to give the pillow cases and/or fabric to you or do you just want us to let you know we have it?

You are so wonderful. I'm jealous of your craftiness. Such a cool project to be involved in.
