Easter 2008 family pic

This picture would be so cute if Grant wasn't pouting. I think he was so tired of having to pose for pictures the whole weekend.

I dyed my hair!!

These aren't the best pictures of me, but I am no longer a virgin!!! I dyed my hair!!!  These pics don't show it that great, but I went to Suzie and she put a WEAVE in my hair. Not the extension kind, it's a method of dying your hair. SO I am still a redhead, but now half my hair is more blonde. It really lightens my face. I'm happy with it!

Oh, the joy of motherhood

So here is my afternoon. I put the boys to bed for their nap. Nathan does not want to sleep. That's fine, let him cry. After a bit, I go in to comfort him and boy does it stink.

Of course it's up his back (he doesn't do it any other way), & on some blankets. I wrap it all up with him and head to the hallway to start the clean up.

He's done, I put him back to bed. Stay with him for a little bit to calm him down. The room still smells. Nothing new, it always smells. So I'm sitting there by the crib, trying not to wake Grant. I notice a spot on the bumper by Nathan's head. Oh crap, literally. I had not noticed it before. I lean over to get a better look.

Yes, it was on the bumper, on the sheets, his stuffed animal, but the best part was that he had managed to rub it all over his head.

I took this picture because I know many others have experienced this disaster. Although it still doesn't beat Grant's blowout that went through the bumper onto the wall, these are the times I think we're allowed to go a bit crazy. Good thing it's March so I had a box of Girl scout samoas cookies to console myself.

Yeah for me!!!!!

I know this sounds really pathetic, but I have finally mowed the lawn for the first time ever. I started the back yard on Saturday, then, not even half way through, my body started reminding me why it is I don't do this. My lungs smelled the fresh cut grass grass and refused to continue working. My asthma got all excited because it got to take over. So I quit. Left the mower where it was, and there it stayed until this Tuesday morning. But I am a very stubborn person, so I went out this morning and finished it. I have this odd sense of accomplishment, but warned Jared that this doesn't mean he's off the hook.

Sickness

It seems as though this year is not going to be kind to me. So far I have had 2 colds (one which is still in process), strep throat, & a neck injury. YEAH for 2008!!!!!! Seriously, am I just getting old??  Does anyone have any ideas to boost my immune system?? No one else here is getting sick besides me. Pity me.

Donut Time

MMMMMM  DONUTS!!!!! Saturday morning called for a celebration! PJ so graciously bought us some yummies that he himself partook of. good to see him eating carbs, just kidding. It did take a couple of days to get all the stickiness off the boys, but it was fun.

Institute Games

Now that we have a program to do things with our pictures, I will be cheating and posting a lot at once!! Here we are at the institute playing games. The boys got competitive with ping pong, the air hockey table was always occupied, us girls made a cute craft, kids ran around being loud, and we had YUMMY PIZZA to go with all the fun.

Gabriel's birthday

Here is my attempt at creating a home video. Awhile ago, Grant & Nate went to a birthday party at bounce town. It was fun, especially when I squeezed through the kid sized holes to rescue Grant when stuck. Hope you enjoy!!!

Carmel beach Jan 2008

It was soooo cold at the beach, but that did not stop some of us from getting soaked. we snacked, played games, and raced the waves!!!! Our pixie gift was the perfect game for all the kids. And by kids I mean ALL the boys, no matter how old. They tried to see who could get the nerf arrow to fly the highest. While we tried to avoid the ENORMOUS amounts of seaweed on the sand. The storms had done a real number all throughout Monterey, trees were down everywhere, electricity hardly existed, we had a hard time getting cream cheese at the stores because it had all been"destroyed." Church was interesting with generators giving us light. But it was still fun!!!

Cute shirts

Every once in awhile, I am able to sneak the boys to match each other. But shhhh, don't tell Jared.

Nathan laughing

This is my first video ever on here. Yeah, now I know how to do it. Lisa & Kirsti, I'll compete with you on who has the best blog!!!!

Leaves & Halloween pic

This was our wards trunk or treat. We will be going to 3 altogether. Not cause we want a lot of candy, but to see everyone. Jared of course has his mullet, I broke free from something, Nathan a pumpkin, Grant was a tiny ninja(only cause it was the cheapest!!!). It was fun.
This pile of leaves was from just one day in our front yard. Grant and Elliott helped me unrake them several times.

My bootiful boys

They are still growing, now Nathan pushes around our dining chairs. Which was really cute at first, but now the noise just hurts our ears. When the noise stops, and Nathan starts whining a few seconds later, it's cause he's stuck underneath the chair.

Horses All Around

We got to go to The Spencer Ranch in carmel this weekend for the holiday. Laurie and Perry let us invade their anne. celebration. It was so beautiful, and the weather was wonderful. We were able to ride the horses, use the hot tub, the BBQ, the tree house and play house, gator, the steaming showers, beaches and sunsets.

Here are some cute pics of us riding Murphy and a little bit of the backyard view.

The Silver Bullet

Nana with Nate outside enjoying the beautiful weather, and the "Silver Bullet" that we had the priveledge of sitting in!!!!

Sunset and Sleeping Boys

The sunset from the hills behind the ranch. You can go up on the "Gator" and run over lots of stuff. Ofcourse the boys got a little wild with it. Jared and Nate fall asleep on one of the comfy couches that looks old but isn't. The ambiance was unbelievable. Decorations and landscaping made you really feel that you were at a ranch in the 1920's. Except the fact for the awesome showers and the bedae (however that is spelled). You know, the toilet that washes off your bum!

The Ocean

Yeah!! My boys have finally been in the ocean! The current was strong, so I was really paranoid about them getting pulled under. But they're still alive. The beach was nice, and soooo close.

The third picture is the view from about half a mile behind the ranch. It was gorgeous.
