They're aaaalllliiiiivvvveeeeeee

I thought I had killed most of my
plants, but some sprouted!! I
think the 3 bigger ones are
watermelons. The tiny ones
that are barely up are pumpkins.
My 2 tomato plants are everyday
threatening me to die.
We'll see what happens.

Nathan Had an Ear Infection :(

My kids have never had ear infections before. So this was a little trying for us to deal with. He got to keep his binkie the whole day, & always had his blanket wrapped around him. How mean of a mom am I to take these  pics??

Husbands!!!

Dear Tech support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5 and then installed undesirable programs such as NBA 5.0, NFL 3.0 and Golf Clubs 4.1. Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

Signed,
Desperate.

**************

DEAR DESPERATE,

First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system. Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to download Tears 6.2 and don't forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

But remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1. Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.) Also do not attempt to reinstall Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend Cooking 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7.

Good Luck,
Tech Support

I copied this from another blog. Thought it was funny! Of course Jared has nothing to do with it.

My swimmers

I finally blew up the pool the Martini's left when they moved far far away from us. The boys had so much fun playing in the water.

I left the water running the whole time, I know, not saving anything. But they loved playing with the hose!

So now we have a light green circle in our yard where the pool was.

Due date

So my due date is Feb 3rd. I wanted to scan the ultrasound picture, but it was barely a gray dot.
How boring is that?

Watermelon, watermelon. watermelon.......

Jared always jokes about singing watermelon in the choir. Just mouth the word over & over again. It makes it looks like you know what you're doing. Tonight we went outside for some dessert. Glad we were outside, & half naked, were just able to throw the boys in the tub afterwards. It was delicious!!

What the heck is that??

The day I popped out Nathan, I remember laying in the hospital, looking at him & thinking, well, when should we have the next one??  I have been teased by a sister in law about how easily I forget. Yup, I forget the day of.  So I started planning right then when the next was to come along. To make it at least 2 years in between Nathan & the next, we would start in May.

So on May 6th, I saw the Doc to take out the bc. 3 weeks later, I started feeling it. Dizziness, nausea, a little more cranky than normal. Then some girlies thought it would be funny to give me a prego test for my birthday (thanks Natalie & Sharday!) So I took it, knowing what the results would be. Therefore, the purple line picture some of you were emailed.

I think I'm only about 4 weeks along, but on Saturday morning at the Temple, I couldn't zip up my dress. I know I haven't gained back THAT much weight in the last month. I looked down, & my stomach was popping out. What the heck??  It seems that overnight my stomach let it all out. I think my body said, ok, so you're knocked up, let's let it all hang out. All my hard work on the abs gone in a night. I had to suck it in the next 2 hours.

Even on Sunday, a very nice sister let me know she knew my secret. Said I was looking a little bit poochy. Thanks Laura!! It's not that often someone tells you that you look fat! It was funny.

So now I look like I'm 4 or 5 months pregnant instead of 4 or 5 weeks. Wonder what I'll look like at 7 months!!

Tahoe vacation

For the Memorial day weekend, we went up to Tahoe with some friends. We were supposed to be camping, but the weather stank, so we rented a cabin. It was still fun even though we couldn't go outside too much. We watched movies, played with the kids, stayed up late talking, made s'mores off the BBQ, & played the WII. Yup, we finally bought a WII last week. Fun videos to come!

Us girls spent some time reading. Although it was hard to focus with 6 kids running around. Make that 5 kids. Miley slept through the whole weekend. We ate lots of junk food. Stomach is still a little upset. So enjoy the pics!!

Computer for the boys

I'm so glad I never threw away my 1780 laptop. This thing is at least 10 years old. Takes 10 minutes to start up and another minute to acknowledge any decisions. So now it is the boys computer. We got some games at the library, & they're hooked! Now I can get a program to read to my kids. I'm such a good mom.

I love to see the Temple!

We went up to the Temple on Monday for FHE. The boys had fun playing games on the nice grass. And of course Jared had his fun with the fountain. I'm not sure if these are appropriate or not, but the boys loved it!!

My marriage to Jared

What is his name? Jared Keith Hasleton
How long have you been married? It will be 4 years in June.
How long did you date?  3 months before my mission, 11 days after.

How old is he? 27.

Who eats more? He does. Unless I'm stressed. My body will send out hormones that "doesn't" tell me I'm full. I can eat till I drop dead.
Who said I love you first? He did.
Who is taller? Jared by a good foot or so.
Who sings better? I think the question should be who sings worse???
Who is smarter? I swear that whatever I don't know, he knows. & visa versa. It makes us a good team, but we never know what the other is talking about.

Who's temper is worse? I get real cranky, but when Jared gets mad (not that often) he's good about walking away.
Who does the laundry? ME. ME. ME. ME. ME.ME. ME. ME. ME. ME. ME. ME. He'll throw a load in, but that's where it stays.
Who does the dishes? Please see previous answer.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Facing the bed, it's me.
Who does the cooking? Jared is a great cook when he feels like it. But I do it the most.
Who drives when you are in the car together? Jared.
Who is more stubborn? I think I might have him on this one. Although he's right up next to me.
Who proposed? He did in the Vic's grocery parking lot. It was a total suprise, we were on the way to get the ring. Vic's seems a little cheesy, but that's where a lot of memories were for us.
Who is most likely to admit when they are wrong? I am a little too proud of the fact that I'll admit when I'm wrong. I can't stand it when people are not able say I'm wrong & you're right. Get over it. .
Who's parents do you see the most? Devil's triangle with parents one mile to the right & the others one mile down. It's a toss up.
Who pays the Bills? I do.
Who wears the pants in your family? He does in the traditional way.

I tag Lisa martini!!!!!

Great book!!!

We go to the library almost every Wednesday for story time. Sometimes afterwards I'll let the boys pick out some books. It's so much work though to keep special attention of these borrowed books so that they are not destroyed during their time in the Hasleton's home. So I try to avoid it by leaving the library right away.

But this week the boys pulled a ton of books. I didn't even look at them before we checked them out. There are some about Hanukah, spiders, some others that don't even look interesting. BUT, I have just read the best kids book EVER!!!! It is called "Mars needs Moms" by Berkeley Breathed. It made me laugh, cry, & feel good about my mommyhood.

I'm glad I didn't try to sensor the books this week. It allowed one of the boys to pick a book especially for me!! I'm sure an angel was helping guide those little fingers. I recommend this read to all moms!!

Yeah for good weather!!

Thank goodness for good weather. We have been so excited for the time when we can tell the boys to go outside & play!!! They stay outside for at least 45 min. It doesn't sound like much, but it's so nice to have the house to ourselves!!

The tree trunk is their main place of play. Nathan can climb on top, & there are some good looking holes around the base. Maybe after a few years, they will have dug the whole thing up & we won't have to pay for a grinder.

Now, if I can just stop being a paranoid mom & stop checking on them every 2 minutes.

Easter Video

The boys got to do 4 Easter egg hunts this year. VSP, Capitol Christian Center, My parentals, & the Hasleton's. They had it down at the end. My favorite part is when Grant picks up the egg, thinks nothing is in it, & throws it back down. Why p/u the egg if no candy is in it?????

By the way, I had rice crispy nests for breakfast the next morning. There were none left afterwards either!!!

It would sure make it a whole lot easier to love them all.

Easter 2008 family pic

This picture would be so cute if Grant wasn't pouting. I think he was so tired of having to pose for pictures the whole weekend.

I dyed my hair!!

These aren't the best pictures of me, but I am no longer a virgin!!! I dyed my hair!!!  These pics don't show it that great, but I went to Suzie and she put a WEAVE in my hair. Not the extension kind, it's a method of dying your hair. SO I am still a redhead, but now half my hair is more blonde. It really lightens my face. I'm happy with it!

Oh, the joy of motherhood

So here is my afternoon. I put the boys to bed for their nap. Nathan does not want to sleep. That's fine, let him cry. After a bit, I go in to comfort him and boy does it stink.

Of course it's up his back (he doesn't do it any other way), & on some blankets. I wrap it all up with him and head to the hallway to start the clean up.

He's done, I put him back to bed. Stay with him for a little bit to calm him down. The room still smells. Nothing new, it always smells. So I'm sitting there by the crib, trying not to wake Grant. I notice a spot on the bumper by Nathan's head. Oh crap, literally. I had not noticed it before. I lean over to get a better look.

Yes, it was on the bumper, on the sheets, his stuffed animal, but the best part was that he had managed to rub it all over his head.

I took this picture because I know many others have experienced this disaster. Although it still doesn't beat Grant's blowout that went through the bumper onto the wall, these are the times I think we're allowed to go a bit crazy. Good thing it's March so I had a box of Girl scout samoas cookies to console myself.

Yeah for me!!!!!

I know this sounds really pathetic, but I have finally mowed the lawn for the first time ever. I started the back yard on Saturday, then, not even half way through, my body started reminding me why it is I don't do this. My lungs smelled the fresh cut grass grass and refused to continue working. My asthma got all excited because it got to take over. So I quit. Left the mower where it was, and there it stayed until this Tuesday morning. But I am a very stubborn person, so I went out this morning and finished it. I have this odd sense of accomplishment, but warned Jared that this doesn't mean he's off the hook.

Sickness

It seems as though this year is not going to be kind to me. So far I have had 2 colds (one which is still in process), strep throat, & a neck injury. YEAH for 2008!!!!!! Seriously, am I just getting old??  Does anyone have any ideas to boost my immune system?? No one else here is getting sick besides me. Pity me.
